This presentation will discuss the use of interosseous membrane stimulation and the proposed mechanism of action of the treatment. Three of the myriad conditions with pain in the distal extremeties for which this stimulation is an effective treatment will also be presented. Participants will learn a safe, minimally invasive and effective acupuncture option.

At the end of this activity, participant will be able to –

• Identify at least 3 factors that contribute to the control of blood flow to the extremities.
• Describe evidence for autonomically mediate mechanism of action of interosseous membrane stimulation.
• Identify at least 3 disease processes for which the treatment is effective.
