![]() Hand acupuncture microsystems offer several advantages to patients and practitioners, namely accessible treatment at one’s fingertips. This 1-day workshop serves as an introduction to Korean Hand Therapy (KHT), which is guaranteed to be “hands-on,” and each attendee receives a complimentary KHT Travel Kit. The course includes a review of the KHT correspondence reflex system, introduction to KHT micromeridian therapy, and selected basic prescriptions for pain and functional problems. Attendees will learn projected maps on the hand, methods of locating correspondence points, correct use of KHT instruments, noninvasive and needling methods, and case examples. The fourteen micromeridians and front Mu points will be introduced using KHT classification terminology to understand the location and direction of channels on the hand and to assist with developing basic prescription treatments. Lastly, attendees will learn an introduction to KHT moxibustion. Prerequisite: Attendees should be familiar with the trajectories of body acupuncture channels. This 4-hour workshop will provide an in-depth exploration of neuroanatomically based electroacupuncture as a treatment modality for hip-spine syndrome, a condition characterized by nonspecific back pain that may originate from either the hip or the lumbar spine. Participants will gain insights into the neuroanatomical pathways and diagnostic criteria essential for identifying this syndrome. The session will also cover the mechanisms and application of electroacupuncture, focusing on its efficacy in managing musculoskeletal issues. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and hands-on practice, attendees will learn how to implement electroacupuncture techniques to improve patient outcomes.
