Complications that can occur from improper needling around the eye and central nervous system.
An adverse event is a harmful or negative outcome that may happen when a patient has been provided medical care. One in ten acupuncture patients will experience an adverse event. This presentation will focus on injuries that can happen due to improper needling of points around the eye and near the central nervous system. Local anatomy and correct needling instructions will be given for acupuncture points which have a greater possibility of incurring an adverse event.

Dr. Pittman is a board-certified in family physician. She is a senior preceptor with Helms Medical Institute and was assistant administrator of the Medical Acupuncture for Physicians course. She is currently serves as president of the AAMA and is on the legislative and membership committees.
The fee to participate in this LIVE activity is $40/members and $70/non-members per webcast.
