Topic: ATP for stress, sleep, pain, dependency.
The Auricular Trauma Protocol, at the request of the Department of Defense, was created in 2010 for treating PTSD in the military. It was found to be successful in helping wounded warriors cope with their stress, pains, sleeplessness, and drug dependencies. It was tested in Afghanistan, the Intrepid Center in Bethesda, and at the Nellis AFB family medicine clinic. There is evidence of its benefits that will be presented. In 2012, the military approached us about developing advanced strategies for treating stress issues, pain management concerns, sleep disturbances, and drug dependencies. Thus, was created the Basic I and Basic II patterns. They are based on the foundational ATP with added points for personalization of treatment.
The origins, logic, and clinical utilization of the ATP and its Basic I and Basic II derivatives in the treatment of patients will be discussed in depth. The focus will be on patients with problems related to Stress, Pain, Sleep, and/or Dependency.
