DESCRIPTION:Presented by Gary Stanton\, MD\, FAAMA \nThis presentation will compare French and Chinese ear acupuncture. A brief history of the origins of these techniques will be followed by an overview. Then there will be more specific discussion of their similarities and differences. To be contrasted will be auricular diagnosis involving French biomedical and Chinese traditional approaches\, and their associated clinical techniques. Then a comparison of treatment methods including cartographies and methodologies will follow. Finally\, 3 illustrative case studies will be discussed.
