SUMMARY:Interosseous Membrane Stimulation An Effective and Underutilized Treatment Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Michael Freedman\, MD\, FAAMA \nThis presentation will discuss the use of interosseous membrane stimulation and the proposed mechanism of action of the treatment. Three of the myriad conditions with pain in the distal extremeties for which this stimulation is an effective treatment will also be presented. Participants will learn a safe\, minimally invasive and effective acupuncture option. \nAt the end of this activity\, participant will be able to – \n\nIdentify at least 3 factors that contribute to the control of blood flow to the extremities.\nDescribe evidence for autonomically mediate mechanism of action of interosseous membrane stimulation.\nIdentify at least 3 disease processes for which the treatment is effective.
